“For me A Year of Nature Poems was a love letter to nature and humanity’s relationship with it. I wrote the poems wanting to highlight the deep connection that we have with nature and therefore the importance of protecting it. Whilst writing the book, I was struck by a very deep sense of nostalgia for the connection I felt with nature as a child. Thinking back to summer days spent playing outside, climbing trees and running about in the rain. I hope to have imparted some of that joy into the collection and to remind everyone that the free, deep pleasures of nature exist just beyond our front door.” – Joseph Coelho
